Tips to have a fall living room decor

It is very common that when trying to achieve a fall living room decor we end up having “horror vacui” (or fear of empty space, a characteristic of the painting of Peruvian ceramic vessels, where no space was left unpainted) and saturate everything with orange walls, brown accessories, red cushions here, a few greens and oranges over there ... Calm down! Let your room breathe, we don´t want to suffocate it. Undoubtedly, earth colors like oranges, browns and greenish tones are colors that characterize the season, but we don`t need to saturate the room with large quantities of these colors.

COLORS 

Surely you have heard this famous phrase of The Little Prince: “And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” It's the same with bringing fall to our small or maybe very large living room, we don’t need to take all colors we see on fall season... take a moment to think about fall. What does fall transmits to you? I think you will agree that it transmits a lot of warmth and a welcoming feeling. As you can see, you can do it by combining these earth tones, with neutral colors like cream, white, gray and with colors like pastel blue, yellow or blue. 

TEXTURES 

Give life and originality to your living room by using ethnic fabrics, wood, geometric textures or floral patterns. The combination of these textures and patterns with plain colors play very well together to achieve the warmth we desire and the cozy feeling that fall gives. 

ACCESSORIES 

When choosing the accessories consider that they contrast with the rest of the fabrics and colors previously chosen. Remember: We don’t want to suffocate our living room. The decorative elements and accessories should bring warmth and make the room cozier, working together with the fabrics, it is quite nice when they stand out among the furniture. You can use metallic accessories in golden tones, white candles or orange tones vases and why not? Accessories in wood and natural materials.
