Visiting Formland spring 2019 fair

Last week I visited the interior and design fair Formland, which takes place in the city of Herning here in Denmark. This event takes place every two years to appreciate the new trends in colors, designs and flavors, all related to the Scandinavian style. It takes 4 days, but I could only attend one day because my little Freja was ill. And this week it was Thiago's turn. Will I be the next one? Next week is winter holiday and I have both at home, so let's hope not 🙂

I give you a short walk of what I liked most in this fair and to see what is going on in this part of the world, which will surely have transcendence worldwide.

Au Maison with its collection for this spring summer 2019 arrives with several patterns, including floral patterns that are perfect for the hottest season of the year. Red wine and rose, my favorites.

The proposal of Broste Copenhagen with lively colors such as violet, turquoise and blue. And I also loved its glass vases.

I loved the collection of Woud lamps, whether ceiling, table or wall. Its cushions, essential accessories to easily change the look of our sofa.

The rattan furniture is still a trend for every room in the house and Sika Design is one of the most representative brands when we talk about this type of furniture that goes perfectly with bohemian style and scandi boho.

The brand Rice always brings a smile on my face with the design of its products and happy colors.

Wauw ceramics called my attention with its glazed finish, the nuances that can be seen on them and that end up creating new colors.

Klassik Studio stands out for its passion for Danish design and traditional craftsmanship.

A separate mention has the annual contest of FSC Design Award between the schools of architecture and design in Denmark. The basic material to use is wood and the creativity of the presented designs is incredible.

Gro (Laurits Dam Gersbøll and Magnus Thy) is a table with a seat made with the combination of sawdust and mycelium (set of white filaments that form the vegetative part of a fungus). In experimentation to demonstrate that it is possible to create furniture with sustainable alternatives.

This fair looks amazing! If only there was a similar fair near me, then I would attend. What was your favorite piece?
