Easter eggs with so much art and tradition
We are already one step away from celebrating Easter, and although each country has its traditions and culture, the design created around Easter eggs has left me speechless. Even in some countries, these Easter eggs are displayed in museums and other countries. Are you interested in knowing which countries developed these beauties? Here we go with the list:
Slovenia
The Vrhnika Easter eggs are the work of Franc Grom, who received the highest national award for artistic and craft activities in Slovenia: “The Golden Tendril.” It is a unique and beautiful collection of Easter eggs, in which the eggs have been perforated in a precise and planned way to create these designs. Can you imagine how many holes had to be made for each egg? Between 3000 and 17000 holes, depending on the design!

Czech Republic
Easter eggs decorated by hand in the Czech Republic are called “Kraslice.” This country has the ancient tradition that days before Easter, women decorate the “Kraslice” given to men on Easter day. The materials used for these designs range from beeswax to watercolor and even onion peels! All a work of art, without a doubt.

Ukraine
These Pysanka Easter eggs take that name because they are hand painted using a traditional writing wax technique and decorated with traditional folk motifs. There are several types of decoration depending on the region of the country. They are well known worldwide and exhibited in museums. Thanks to the work of artisans and the Internet, we can have one of these beauties at home.

Poland
The Polish artist Oksana Grabowska is behind OxiGra with beautiful designs of Easter eggs. The textures, the carving, and decorative details make it possible to decorate with them on any occasion. Don’t you think?
